Biography
Born in 1983 in Tunis, Anis Mahwechi aka Tiga Black’Na is an artist from the popular quarters of Tunis, Jbel Jloud. Living in Tunisia, he stands as a model of a conscious youth carrying a message of hope. Tiga Black’Na searched for himself before turning to a form of expression that made him the artist he is today — strong in his own identity and spirit. He depicts his daily life through incisive, committed lyrics and has shared the stage many times. His music is a subtle blend of African roots and modernity, groove and melody, world music and hip-hop — but above all a mix and a culture of difference, from which he draws all his artistic strength. With this blend — this combination — Tiga Black’Na has devoted himself since 2017 to crafting a new album with a group of talented musicians: a brand-new musical exploration, a fusion of sung rap, reggae and jazzed-up rap that he himself named « Fanni Lik » — My Art for You. Tiga Black’na is also one of the lead voices of Erkez HipHop.
